Adam Hall (born August 14 1980 in Kalamazoo, Michigan) is an American professional ice hockey player who is currently under contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League.

Hockey career

Hall was drafted number 52 overall by the Nashville Predators in the second round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

After being drafted Hall finished his college career with Michigan State University where he served as team captain. When the college season ended in 2002, Hall went on to play six games with the Predators' minor league affiliate Milwaukee Admirals and one game with the Predators.

Hall broke into the National Hockey League full time in the 2002–03 NHL season. He played 79 games with the Predators in his rookie year, and only one for Milwaukee. During the 2003–04 NHL season Hall was on the Predators roster for the entire season, again playing in 79 games.

During the 2004–05 NHL lockout Hall played for KalPa in the Finnish Mestis league; the team is owned in part by then Nashville teammate Kimmo Timonen.

On July 19, 2006 Hall was traded to the New York Rangers for Dominic Moore in a three team deal that included the Predators trading Moore and Libor Pivko to the Pittsburgh Penguins for a third-round draft pick. Later that season on February 9, 2007 he was dealt to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Pascal Dupuis.

On October 1, 2007 he signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he contributed during the Penguins run to the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals, where they lost in six games to the Detroit Red Wings. Hall scored the game winning goal in Game 3 and also scored in Game 5. He was a free agent upon the end of the season, and on July 1, 2008 he signed a 3 year deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning worth $1.8-million. He joins fellow ex-Penguins teammates Ryan Malone and Gary Roberts in signing with the Lightning in 2008.
