Ann Carol Crispin is a science fiction writer and the author of over sixteen published novels, including Han Solo Trilogy. She has also written two Star Wars short stories: Play It Again, Figrin D'an for Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina and Skin Deep for Tales from Jabba's Palace and several Star Trek novels, and created her own original science fiction series called StarBridge. She is married to science fiction author Michael Capobianco.
She has stated that she proposed a book series dealing with Princess Leia Organa between Episode III and IV, but that "Lucasfilm didn't approve the idea of a Leia backstory because they want to keep that era of the SW continuity untouched for the television series they're considering." [1]
Crispin also served as Eastern Regional Director, and then Vice President, of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. She wrote the novelizations for the TV series V and the film Alien Resurrection.
