1984 - Taxi driver Jack Duckworth is found guilty of drink-driving, fined £200 and banned for a year, thereby making him unemployed.
1986 - Kevin Webster marries Sally Seddon.
1990 - Design student Angie Freeman starts to lodge at No. 7 (First appearance of the character).
1993 - Furious at Jenny Bradley's undiplomatic attempt to borrow money from her, Rita Sullivan writes her a cheque for £1,000 and tells her to leave the Street (Final appearance of the character).
1997 - A crazed Don Brennan attempts to kill Mike Baldwin by driving his car at him but ends up dying in the attempt when he drives straight into the viaduct and the vehicle explodes with Don inside it.
1999 - Final appearance of Lynsay King in the role of Sarah Louise Platt.
2004 - Violet Wilson begins work at the Rovers (First appearance of the character).
2007 - Cilla Battersby-Brown inherits £45,000 from deceased care home resident Frank Nichols.
2008 - Janice Battersby is arrested for fraud after confessing to stealing a lottery win.
