Coronation Street history

• 1942 - Bill Webster is born.
• 1964 - Dennis Tanner meets the besotted woman who claims to be his fiancée - Sandra Petty (first appearance of the character).
• 1966 - The missing Paul Cheveski is found by the police as a mystery man pulls him out of the canal and sent to hospital for observation.
• 1990 - The Wiltons return home from Manchester Airport after finding their travel company for their holiday has gone bust, only to find that No. 4 has been burgled.
• 1992 - Andy McDonald returns home from Sheffield, having dropped out of University.
• 1998 - Jim McDonald springs a surprise proposal on ex-wife Liz but is surprised himself when he finds her in bed with his physiotherapist Michael Wall.
• 2001 - Following her break-in Kevin Webster asks Molly Hardcastle to move in with him and she agrees.
• 2005 - Livid with Les Battersby-Brown broke their wedding presents at the reception, Cilla goes on honeymoon to Magaluf with her tarty friend Yana Lumb instead.
