Coronation Street history

• 1962 - Ena Sharples comes round and is her old self after her stroke.
• 1969 - Elsie Tanner discovers that boyfriend Dave Smith is married.
• 1975 - Bet Lynch finds out that her long-lost soldier son, Martin Downes, has been killed in Northern Ireland and she contemplates suicide.
• 1980 - Ena Sharples returns to St. Anne's in anger as her Community Centre Flat still isn't ready (Final appearance of the character).
• 1986 - Peter and Susan Barlow celebrate their 21st birthday with a party.
• 1990 - Tracy Barlow causes a chip pan fire at No.1 and is rescued by Dave Barton.
• 1993 - After a gap of many years, Reg Holdsworth is re-introduced to Maureen Naylor's mother and his nemesis, Maud Grimes (First appearance of the character).
• 2004 - Penny King refuses both Fred Elliott's proposal of marriage and his offer of friendship.
• 2007 - Tracy Barlow is found guilty of the murder of Charlie Stubbs and sentenced to life imprisonment.
