• Admiral Kathryn Janeway visits B'Elanna Torres, suspecting that she might have something to do with an incident concering a holographic emitter; despite being true, B'Elanna lies about this, preparing a plan to escape the Warriors of Gre'thor^[1]

Conflicts

• Tezwa challenges the Klingon Empire and takes a Klingon diplomatic delegation hostage. In response, the Klingons decimate the planet's surface before being destroyed with nadion-pulse cannons. ^[2]
• Thousands of Starfleet officers, Federation civilian aide workers, and innocent Tezwans killed in Federation occupation of Tezwa by insurgent forces loyal to depose Prime Minister Kinchawn. ^[3]
• Starfleet uncovers cannons' origins and the role of the Tezwan government in covering them up; the Federation Starfleet is ordered off of Tezwa by Tezwan Prime Minister Bilok. ^[3]
• The Teuthis attempt to spark a civil war in the New Thallonian Protectorate as a prelude for conquest. Among the casualties of the conflict are Prime Minister Si Cwan. ^[4][5]

• K’mtok becomes Klingon ambassador the United Federation of Planets. ^[2]

Federation politics

• The Federation Starfleet conquers and occupies Tezwa following the Klingon fleet's destruction, ostensibly to avoid war. In reality, the Federation President ordered the contest to conceal from the Klingons the cannons' Federation origin. ^[2]
• Federation President Min Zife of Bolarus resigns from office, along with Chief of Staff Koll Azernal of Zakdorn and Federation Secretary of Military Intelligence Nelino Quafina of Antede III. Their resignations are forced upon them by Starfleet Admiral William Ross of Earth. The three are subsequently assassinated in secret by the rogue cabal known as Section 31. The general public remains unaware of President Zife's true reason for resignation. ^[3]
• Federation Councillor Ra'ch B'ullhy of Damiano serves as President Pro-Tempore of the United Federation of Planets for one month following Zife's resignation. The Federation Council calls a special election, and Governor Nanietta Bacco of Cestus III defeats Federation Special Emissary Arafel "Fel" Pagro of Ktar. ^[6]
• Lieutenant Governor Yrolla Gari becomes Governor of Cestus III following Nan Bacco's election as President of the Federation. ^[7]

Roluman Star Empire Politics

• The entire Romulan Senate is assassinated in a coup by Shinzon of Remus. He is soon deposed, but the Empire is left in disarray. ^[8]
• The Federation, represented by Federation Starfleet Captain William T. Riker of Earth, commanding officer of the USS Titan, attempts to mediate power-sharing talks between the numerous Romulan and Reman factions. An agreement is eventually reached whereby Remus is made a protectorate of the Klingon Empire and the Reman people allowed to settle on a Romulan continent. ^[9]

Starfleet operations

Promotions and transfers

• Captain Elizabeth Shelby is promoted to Admiral, and assumes command of Starbase Bravo. Command of the USS Trident is passed to promoted Commander Katerina Mueller. Mueller's replacement as first officer is Commander Desma. ^[4]
• Lieutenants Kell Perim and Jim Peart of the USS Enterprise-E resign from Starfleet. ^[2]
• Enterprise security chief Lieutenant Christine Vale is promoted to Lieutenant Commander. ^[6]
• Lieutenant Commander Worf returns to Starfleet, taking a position on the USS Enterprise-E. ^[6]
• Klingon Defense Force officer Alexander Rozhenko leaves the military to take the position of Federation ambassador to Qo'noS. ^[6]
• Dr. Beverly Crusher leaves the Enterprise to become head of Starfleet Medical. She soon returns to the Enterprise. ^[10]
• Lieutenant Sara Nave, a security officer aboard the Enterprise, is promoted to chief of security. ^[11]
• Heaton and Mitchell Obrecht transfer to the USS Enterprise. ^{[citation needed]}

USS Titan

• The USS Titan launches under the command of newly-promoted Captain William T. Riker. Many of her crew are transferred from the Enterprise, including: Commander Deanna Troi, named diplomatic officer and head counselor; Lieutenant Commander Christine Vale, is promoted to full Commander and first officer; Lieutenant Commander Ranul Keru, named security chief and tactical officer, Lieutenant Sariel Rager, named operations manager, and Lieutenant Alyssa Ogawa, named head nurse. ^[9]
• Other positions aboard Titan are: Dr. Shenti Yisec Eres Ree, chief medical officer; Lieutenant Commander Nidani Ledrah, from the USS Lakota, chief engineer; Lieutenant Commander Jaza Najem, chief science officer; Ensign Aili Lavena as conn officer, and Lieutenant Melora Pazlar as head of stellar cartography. ^[9]
• Commander Xin Ra-Havreii is named Titan chief engineer upon the death of Lieutenant Commander Ledrah. ^[9]

Births and deaths

• Starfleet's involvement in the Shinzon deposition is marred by many casualties, including the death of Lieutenant Commander Data. ^[8]

• In the Pendragon timeline:
  • The USS Pendragon is launched on her shakedown cruise. She survives an attempt at sabotage. Timothy Sinclair is reinstated and becomes the Pendragon's commanding officer. The Pendragon later attends the commissioning ceremony of the new Deep Space 9. (Star Trek: Pendragon: "True North," "Restoration")
  • The USS Advantage, USS Cantabrian, USS Cuxhaven, USS Hope, USS Prospect-A, USS Seoul and USS Winterthur all attend the commissioning ceremony of the new Deep Space 9. After the ceremony and celebrations are over, Cuxhaven commanding officer Scott Fack holds a meeting with the commanding officers of those craft about his double's information on the possible M'Tar influence on the ever-increasingly violent Myhr'an. Admiral John Sill assigns the ships, sans the Cuxhaven, to a task force to investigate -- Fack joins the Cantabrian crew as an adviser to Captain Noel Turner -- but they engage the Myhr'an in orbit of Federation planet Rhaandaran as the latter attempt to destroy the planet. March

• A large temporal rift forms near Narendra III. The USS Xena and USS Phoenix-X investigate, only to find King Gordan of the Gordarions' egg-ship sitting next to it. While dealing with them, Kayl and Klokian encounter the rift and are sent into the past (2344) along with the Captain. Stuck, 35 years into the past, both Klokian and Kayl eventually become parents to RaeLuna. Consequently, in the present, RaeLuna and her android companion, Trunks, join the crew of the Phoenix-X. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X: "Occurrence, Part I & II")

July

• 4 July: The Star Triangle Advanced Guard is formed. (Adventures of STAG)
• The USS Expedition (NCC-76277) makes contact with the Malon cooperative. Captain Vanessa Yates is instrumental in helping the Malon to work out a recycling program, with help from the Federation. However, the Malon soon go back on their word. (Star Trek Crusader)
• The USS Expedition answers a distress call from a distant asteroid belt from Dexa. She informs the Expedition that several Malon ships are dumping massive amounts of radioactive waste in the belt, and weakening their defensive shields. It is learned that the Malon involved in this illegal dumping were hired by Nocono in an attempt to force the Talaxians out of New Talaxia. Neelix being an ambassador makes a formal request of Captain Yates for Federation assistance. After a conference with Starfleet Command it was decided that the colony would be redesignated Deep Space 10, and a space station be constructed to make a more pronounced Federation presence. Mid-2379

• The starship USS Dauntless (NCC-75310) is damaged in a collision with a neutronic fuel carrier near the colony of New Gibraltar. The starship enters drydock at Utopia Planitia and, once there, extensive damage to the vessel's spaceframe inflicted during the Dominion War is discovered. The starship remains in repair for almost a full year. Captain Virgil D. Kane is relieved of command. (Star Trek: Dauntless)

Late 2379

• The Intrepid-class UFS Arcadia undergoes an extensive, three-month refit (2379-2380), becoming the Quantum-class starship prototype. (Star Trek: Arcadia)

• Lei and Raiden arrive from the year 2004, becoming separated after a Reman warbird attack. Raiden warps away in Kelik's Timeship, and Lei is rescued by Jackie aboard the Runabout Trinity. (Star Trek: Reloaded: "Chapter 2")

• Stardate 56844.9: Captain Jonathan Hunt comes out of a four year long coma, and regains command of the Thresher Class USS Lapon, which had just completed a major refit. (Star Trek: New Order)

• Stardate 56996.8: The Phoenix-X dodges the explosion of class M planet that may have possibly been created by a Genesis device. (Star Trek: Resurrections)
