• The New Thallonian Protectorate is formed by Si Cwan, following the collapse of the Thallonian Empire. ^[1]

Conflicts

• Stardate 54014.4: The Unimatrix Zero Borg begin a rebellion against the Borg Collective^[2]
• Stardate 54111: Rogue Captain Brennan awakens the KamJatae. After a brief conflict a Hurq invasion is narrowly thwarted by Worf and Red Squad
• Stardate 54522.6: The Borg once again return to assimilate the Alpha Quadrant. ^[3]
• The Wardens crisis: ^[4]
  • The Wardens are accidentally created on Vulcan in an attempt to cure the Vulcan N'Kal from Bendii syndrome using modified Borg nanoprobes.
  • The USS Leyte Gulf is taken over by the Warden nanite infestation and found adrift in the Omical sector by the USS Incursion.
  • The Wardens almost succeed in taking the Klingon Empire to war with the Federation.
  • The Wardens gain control of much of Romulus, this infection is eradicated by the Borg
  • The USS Monitor falls under control of the Wardens and is then assimilated by the Borg and later destroyed by flying into a star.
  • The crew of the USS Incursion locate the Warden headquarters on Vulcan and reprogram their nanites freeing the galaxy from Warden control.
• January: Taran'atar, mind-controlled by Iliana Ghemor, escapes from Deep Space 9 after having wounded Kira Nerys and Ro Laren; he takes Prynn Tenmei hostage and heads for Harkoum; Prynn is ultimately released by her father, commander Elias Vaughn^[5]

Starfleet operations

• Stardate 54732.3: The USS Voyager establishes two-way communication with the Federation.^[6]
• Stardate 54973.4: The USS Voyager returns to the Alpha Quadrant. Voyager returns home via a Borg transwarp conduit, destroying a Borg transwarp hub in the process. ^[7]

Promotions and transfers

• Worf is put in command of the USS Typhon for six months to investigate Borg attacks on Klingon Outposts. Worf also commanded the Valkyrie Squadron with Red Squad
• After Worfs departure, Ensign Ryan Cooper is promoted to lieutenant and remained with Valkyrie Squadron, presumably on the Typhon.
• Robin Lefler is promoted to Lieutenant Commander and is assigned as Starfleet Liason to the New Thallonian Protectorate. She relocates to New Thallon with her husband Si Cwan. ^[1]
• Sarjenka graduates from Starfleet Academy and joins the crew of the USS da Vinci as assistant chief medical officer. ^[8]

People

• January: Kira Nerys, after nearly having been killed by Taran'atar, is operated and gets an artificial heart^[5]

Births and deaths

• Romulan Praetor Neral is assassinated. ^[9]
• January: Intendant Kira Nerys is killed by Iliana Ghemor, who still looks like Kira Nerys^[5][10]
• Stardate 54775.4: Joseph Carey is murdered during an away mission to the planet Uxal. ^[11]
• Stardate 54973.4: Miral Paris is born aboard the USS Voyager. ^[7]

Relationships

• Stardate 54058.6: Thomas Paris and B'Elanna Torres marry aboard Voyager. ^[12]

Alternate timelines

• USS Voyager is not met by Admiral Janeway from the future, and avoids the Borg transwarp hub. In doing so, Voyager will take an additional sixteen years to reach home. ^[7]

• Jake Marone is assimilated by the Borg, and is rescued 3 days later by the USS Ticonderoga. (Star Trek: Generation Fleet)

April:

• A group of rogue omnipotent beings, separated from the Q Continuum, bestow small fractions of psionic power onto select mortals throughout the galaxy and the mirror universe. A year-long omnipresent barrier, or bubble, is then created to call upon all the partially-omnipotent mortals so that a new Continuum can be constructed with their grown power. Unfortunately, all such efforts are thwarted by Q, whom intervenes and forces the rogue omnipotent beings back to the Q Continuum. Since, inside the omnipresent barrier, time passed by much faster, all those inside it are deposited into the year 2378. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X: "Vengeance", "The Nega'Jem, Part II", "Avalon Battlefield, Part I", Star Trek: Uprising)

May

• The USS Baldwin begins a refit at Starbase 42 (USS Baldwin: "Escape")

June

• 14 June: The USS Ottawa is briefly commendeerd due to a computer virus planted in Ottawa's systems. Ottawa captain Jenna Carson is able to lock the virus out from the controls and return to Starbase 42 (USS Baldwin: "Backdoor")
• 15 June: The USS Nimitz is lost to the computer virus. Nimitz captain Andrea Riffin orders the crew to abandon ship. The escape pods are picked up by the USS Hainan (USS Baldwin: "Backdoor")

July

• Samantha Warren, Irina Nielsen and Dorian Collins graduate from Starfleet Academy. (Star Trek: Daedalus, Star Trek: Omega Force, USS Baldwin: "Reaction to Action")
• 5 July (Stardate 54150): The USS Abilene is compromised by a variation of the computer virus. The crew abandons ship and are picked up by the USS Nimitz (USS Baldwin: "Reaction to Action, Part 1")
• 7 July (Stardate 54155.6): The Abilene is repatriated from a scrapyard by the USS Ottawa after an engagement with five ships of Dominion design. (USS Baldwin: "Reaction to Action, Part 2")
• 10 July (Stardate 54163.4): The USS Baldwin returns to service and begins a charting and exploration mission beyond the far end of Cardassian space. (USS Baldwin: "Reaction to Action, Part 2")

August

• 15 August (Stardate 54257.4): The USS Baldwin encounters a very strong warp current of 25,000 rels, sweeping the ship into a subspace sandbar in the Beta Quadrant. The starship Discovery was discovered in the sandbar. Discovery was subsequently towed out of the sandbar and returned to Earth by Baldwin (USS Baldwin: "Against the Wind")
• 31 August (Stardate 54300.5): The USS Hainan is critically damaged when a warbug deliberately rammed the Hainan. 256 survive out of a crew of 435. The survivors, led by Roslyn are retrieved by the nearby USS Ottawa. Hainan was deemed a loss and the remains were destoryed by the Ottawa (USS Baldwin: "Like the Rain")

September

• 14 September (Stardate 54341.2): A Peregrine-class fighter assigned to the USS Hastings was found abandoned in Cardassian space by the USS Baldwin. Its pilot, Johnathan Bucyrus was found on a Class-M planet in Sector 520 alongside five sisters (USS Baldwin: "Wild Roses")
• 17 September (Stardate 54344.6): Starfleet Command approves Patrick Ingrum's plan to patrol the Aloran system (USS Baldwin: "Wild Roses")
• 23 September (Stardate 54360.4): Bernie Tyler and Roslyn are married in an impromptu ceremony by Captain Ingrum. (USS Baldwin: "Wild Roses")

• 9 May (Stardate 54000): Tiana Ingrum, daughter of USS Baldwin crew members Patrick and Bridget Ingrum, is born aboard the Baldwin. (USS Baldwin: "Frontiers")

Deaths

• Captain Edward Smythe is killed in a failed raid by Talvathian forces to rescue him, and 3 delegates. (Star Trek Crusader)
• Jezra father, Morgh'in Jezra dies in an attack by the Orion Syndicate. (Star Trek Crusader)
• 31 August (Stardate 54300.5): Captain Roger Decatur is among 179 killed when a warbug deliberately rammed the USS Hainan (USS Baldwin: "Like the Rain")
