• 1974 - Billy Walker returns to Weatherfield to buy the Canal Garage from Alan Howard.
• 1976 - Disturbed John Lane is arrested after tricking Gail Potter into letting him into her house. Old flames Dave Smith and Blanche Hunt see each other for the first time in years.
• 1998 - Emily Bishop protests the demolition of the Red Rec by climbing a tree and refusing to come down.
