• 1961 - Ena Sharples goes to the Town Hall to complain and sees a notice about the proposed demolition of Coronation Street.
• 1982 - Len and Rita Fairclough foster Sharon Gaskell.
• 1989 - Alan Bradley makes a pass at his secretary Dawn Prescott and gets angry when she doesn't reciprocate. Dawn escapes before he can rape her.
• 1991 - Jenny Bradley leaves the street.
• 1995 - Reg Holdsworth spends £300 on a hair piece.

Real world

• 1905 - Doris Hare (Alice Pickens) born. Miss Hare also played Martha Longhurst in the programme's two unbroadcast pilot episodes in 1960.

• 1941 - The Seventh Doctor notes that changes are happening to the timeline of Nazi Germany. He, Benny, Chris and Roz begin the quest to put history right. (NA: Just War).

• 1981 - The Fourth Doctor thwarts the plans of the Master to use CVEs to control the universe, then regenerates. (DW "Logopolis"). Adric, Nyssa, and Tegan then help the newly-regenerated Fifth Doctor escape awkward questions by the police. (DW: Castrovalva)
