• 1962 - Len Fairclough receives a summons for assault for his attack on Dave Smith.
• 1966 - After a draw between him and Annie Walker, Len Fairclough becomes the area's latest councillor on the toss of a coin.
• 1988 - Sally Webster's sister, Gina Seddon, dumps herself on No. 13 after her boyfriend Billy Wyatt is imprisoned.
• 1994 - Bet Gilroy's boyfriend, Charlie Whelan, starts an affair with sacked Rovers barmaid Tanya Pooley.
• 1997 - Mavis Wilton agrees to sell No. 4 to Fred Elliott when she leaves Weatherfield.
• 1999 - Jim McDonald discovers that the car Terry Duckworth sold his mother, Vera is two vehicles welded together.
• 2001 - Duggie Ferguson finds Edna Miller dead in his bed in the Rovers.
• 2003 - Roy and Hayley Cropper consult solicitor Maya Sharma over access to Tracy Preston's expected baby (First appearance of the character).
• 2005 - The wedding of Shelley Unwin and Charlie Stubbs takes place but at the altar Shelley suddenly refuses to give her vows.
• 2007 - David Platt is arrested for possession of ecstasy. Gail throws him out of the house.
• 2008 - John Stape kidnaps Rosie Webster.

• 1925 - Dallas Cavell, who played various roles in numerous stories on Doctor Who, is born.

• 1939 - Charles Pemberton, who played a Cyberman in "The Tomb of the Cybermen" and a War Lord technician in "The War Games" is born in Leyland, Lancashire, England.

• 1963 - First filming session for the show (An Unearthly Child). A one day shoot at Ealing Studios.

• 1977 - Michael Godfrey dies.

• 1997 - Jack May dies.

• Unknown date - Garrick Hagon, who played Ky in "The Mutants" is born.
