The 1986 World Series was a Winston Modified Tour event held at Thompson International Speedway on October 19, 1986. Corky Cookman won his only race of the year, winning the short fifty-lap event by fending off Mike McLaughlin. Eventual season champ Jimmy Spencer was 3rd.
