Deformed scientist Preston Payne meets Matt Hagen and uses an extract of his blood in the hopes of curing his condition. The solution transforms Payne into another Clayface. Note: Takes place several months prior to his first appearance. Detective Comics #478 8.78
Alexander Burgess once again tries to communicate with the imprisoned Dream. Burgess blames Dream for the fact that he has not had a decent night's sleep in over sixty years. As before, Dream remains unresponsive. Sandman (Volume 2) #1 1.89

Mera returns to Dimension Aqua and fights against the tyrannical ruler Leron. She defeats him in hard-water combat. Leron is left mindless. Aquaman #59 1.78
