According to USS Cantabrian commanding officer Noel Turner, the 1970s were memorable for bell-bottoms, afros, platform shoes, the development of the space shuttle, second-wave feminism, the Voyager program (satellites), the Watergate scandal, Richard Nixon, Margaret Thatcher, Vietnam War and the 1973 and 1979 oil crises. Counselor Scott Fack repeatedly said ABBA was the most memorable thing from the 1970s. (Star Trek: The Cantabrian Expeditions: "Two Hit, One Stone")
