Coronation Street history

• 1966 - Jed Stone is sent to prison for nine months for handling stolen goods.
• 1983 - Brian and Gail Tilsley move in with Ivy Tilsley at No. 5 in order that they can afford to keep the garage on.
• 1984 - Jack Duckworth is caught trying to defraud the DHSS.
• 1988 - During a row with Rita Fairclough, Jenny Bradley drops a hint that father Alan is deceiving her.
• 1990 - Mark Casey is given Casey's Garage to run as a twenty-first birthday present. Kevin Webster is appalled at the prospect of reporting to the younger man.
• 1999 - Toyah Battersby and Spider Nugent move into together in a bedsit at Flat 3, 6 Arnica Street.
• 2001 - Maxine Peacock discovers that she is pregnant after her fling with Matt Ramsden.
• 2003 - Tracy Barlow rejects Roy Cropper's offer of marriage.
• 2005 - Violent taxi proprietor Jimmy Clayton threatens his wife Ronnie to make her leave Steve McDonald and return to him. Steve confronts Jimmy and thinks he's brokered a peace, not knowing that Jimmy plans a revenge.
• 2008 - Liam Connor is killed by Jimmy Dockerson on the orders of Tony Gordon in a set-up "hit and run" accident after Liam had an affair with Tony's intended bride Carla Connor.

• 1975 - Graham Haberfield (Jerry Booth) dies.
