17 belonged to a squad of clone troopers holding a barricade against Separatist forces in the Petranaki Arena during the Battle of Geonosis. When the Separatists broke through the Republic lines they were pushed back by the troopers and the timely assistance of RC-1138. When 17 pointed out the presence of 1138 to his fellow trooper 35, 35 expressed the view that clone commandos like 1138 were capable of winning the war by themselves if they were as good as they were made out to be.

Behind the scenes

In the game's map editor, this trooper's event tag is "MrBiggles", and his partner's event tag was set to "BossHogg". Although it is possible these were their nicknames, it seems highly unlikely.
